Now, from having grown up (however many eons ago that was) in the SouthWest I can tell you 2 simple facts you can always count on.
1) summers are hot as ------
2)any time they don't release a name, it's because they are illegals.
Wonder if chasing those illegals for a car jacking was worth the outcome? Must be a real shot for some cops ego, he caught them. (sorta) _ Happened in a sanctuary county, even if they did stop, the county wouldn't contact immigration.
High speed chases should be outlawed in all but the very most serious threats to the public. I don't know which is worse, the fact they chased them, or the fact they couldn't catch a dodge neon until it crashed. The tactic of following them forever at high speeds is, in my opinion, more of a threat to society than the crooks. But that is coming from a long time canyon racer - I seem to have outgrown that phase of life (I hope).
More of those necissary chases.

LOOKED like he was going to put it in gear, so he was murdered by SLC cops after a 30 mph(!!!!!) chase.
www.pe.com/ap_news/California/CA_SoCal_Motorcyclist_Killed_431271C.shtml Hope it was worth killing him over.
wjz.com/local/crash.stolen.car.2.1118965.html New cop tactic - just deny that you were chasing them. Do you believe a cop task force would "recognize" a stolen car then not chase it? Please.
Seems the most common fatality is the poor soul just in the wrong place. One has to ask themselves if catching one person is worth the death they cause as a result. For me, the answer is a resounding no. I think I would rather see every car in town stolen (including mine) rather than see some 20-something father that's delivering pizzas on a bicycle killed by cops trying to catch the car/thief.
