I am just curious what your favorite tellie sitcoms were/are. For American sitcoms I have always been partial to Archie Bunker and also Sanford and Son. I also love the British sitcoms, Are You Being Served and Faulty Towers. Overall Are You Being Served is still my favorite.
Your sleeves will ride up with wear.

I loved old Archie. I will bet that the meathead would have voted for the socialist, Obambi.

My favorites are the exact same as Bucks. I do not think anyone will ever top those two Brit coms that have been rerun to death but are still as good as the first time around. I do not find that my humor matches the more modern so-called comedy programs today. I never laugh at all when I see Saturday night live. I like 3rd Rock from the Sun because I love John Lithgow. He is a good enough character actor to be right up there with Molly Sugdon, John Inman and Patricia Routledge. I sound like an old timer when I can honestly say "things are not funny like they used to be."

I keep forgetting about my old favorites like Jackie Gleason and Art Carney. I loved the Honeymooners. I really like Mama's Family, Ma and Pa Kettle, Laurel and Hardy, the three stooges, and all the old ones. I even remember going to the movies with my father and we went to see "Limelight" with Charlie Chaplin. As I remember, it was not his usual funny stuff but a sad movie and was symbolic of him quitting the movie business. We were disappointed.

Sorry,,heres where I'm off the wall,,,,,,,, but I'm sure Al Bundy (Married,,With Children) would have some good advice for the present day administration.
I usually have no clue as to what is on TV til its been on a few years,,so I usually see re-runs,,if it sparks an interest in me at all. So here is one that most people find hard to believe,, but this is absolutely true,,, I have never seen an episode of MASH.

I have a lot of old favorite shows. Some of them are I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch, Adam's Family, The Monsters, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and The Honeymooners. My dad loved The Honeymooners. One of our family traditions was to have ice cream on Saturday nights and watch The Carol Burnett Show.

Mine is Bonanza. It is all we had but one channel growing up. We got to watch Bonanza and Gunsmoke on Sunday.
Other than that, I dont care for TV much. I do find myself watching the CSI and Law and Order stuff on occassion.

I love the Lone Ranger and Gene Autry. The good guys always win in those programs and it feels so good to see justice being served in every single program.

This should tip us off to people's ages here. Sorry. How many of you remember "Our Miss Brooks"? I certainly do.
I will have a new post tomorrow that should be fun for all.
Hey cubbie, how about the Cisco Kid and Sky King? I watched them both.
For extra credit here, who played Pancho in the 1994 Cisco Kid television movie?

Our Miss Brooks was great. I Love Lucy is a favorite. How about the old Roy Rogers and Dale Evans movies.

Did anyone mention ALF? I love that program and I wish it were rerun more often. My daughter has the episodes on CDs and once in awhile we watch a bunch of episodes. It is one of the few programs I can see over and over again.
