I have been after the Empress Wu hosta all year. This is the first year it has been offered for sale on an extremely limited basis. Twice I have had orders in to Walters Gardens in Michigan and both times they ended up cancelling. Finally last Friday they called and one of their clients had cancelled an order for a tray of 20. They are shipping them to us on June 27. Take a look at the size of this hosta compared to the gent who is measuring it. Do you think this will fill up our yard or garden? www.hostalibrary.org/e/empresswu.html

I heard that those plants cost $100 each. Is that true? I am talking about those giant hostas that you just got. We want to get some hostas now that I have been introduced to them but not the $100 type. The neighbors gave us some cone flowers and I was not familiar with the type she gave us. They are just gorgeous. The neighbor has a yard that is about 75% flowers and she works on them every day. Her place is magnificant and looks like it should be in a garden magazine. I love flowers. I dug up some globe thistles at the old place and planted then at our new place. They sure are pretty. I used to pick them and add them to bouquets of glads. That is really a pretty combination.
