This Post is DEDICATED to my Dad. A true Patriot. A Vietnam Vet. A man of character. And a man I looked up to. I may not have always agreed with him. But he taught me to walk with my chin up, to be honest, and how to be a man. I will always miss him, and I have cherished the last three months as I got to spend every single day with him. He did not lead me to Christ, but he did put me in the right place Where Christ was looking for me. A one of a kind, A Dad who had the courage to be a dad. I dedicate this song from his funeral...to all...to know that death is not the end, but the beginning...a time when we go HOME. I was raised and instilled with my dads legacy To stand up for what is right and against what is wrong. I am a conservative by roots, not by a choice I made but one that my dad chose for me. Thank you dad for raising me to the best of your ability. www.legacy.com/obituaries/startribune/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=128893537April 26th, 1940 - June 22nd, 2009

That is a touching tribute to your father who must have been a remarkable man. If any of us leaves this world with people left behind saying such wonderful things, I would say we had been very successful here on earth. I hope you pass on what you learned from him to your own children and grandchildren. He probably also taught you how to treat other people, even those who are not related to you.
