I am sick about this but can't really complain since I voted for Independent candidate Dean Barkley. Barkley was by far the most fiscally conservative of the three. If Obambi makes a quick stop or turn, Franken will break his nose.

This truly is a disgrace to our state. As I've gotten older,,I've always wished time would 'slow down',,how right our parents were. But,,I hope by next year we still have the freedom to vote some of these bums out of office,,and there are some candidates out there worthy of replacing them. 2010 can't come soon enough.

Buck, I am assuming you had three candidates and you voted for the one you thought was best but was not heavily voted for. Is that right? When we go to any tea party or get together for the conservatives, they tell us over and over and over to not vote for the lesser one even if it is the best one. That is how we got Bill Clinton! I thought Perot was by far the best and he got a lot of votes taken away from the Republicans. I have a friend who always votes for some unknown person because she says she is "making a statement". I keep telling her she is wasting her time. No one cares about her statement anyway. So often we have to vote for the best of the top two candidates so we will not be electing the worst.

It seems appropriate to have a comedian in Congress with the rest of those jokers. I do not know how Minnesota could be so bad. I didn't know Franken lived in Minnesota. Is he out of comedy work so wants to take his routine to Congress? Does anyone know if he honestly won or if a lot of cheating went on? I never could understand how anyone could come up with more votes because "they found some more". Where were they found? My husband used to run the caucus in our district and we had to phone in the votes with witnesses and then send the sealed and witnesses votes later. There is no way a decent run voting could have lost ballots somewhere. Someone had to have made up some votes out of thin air as I doubt Minnesota polling places were that slack. All I could see is that too many dead people, non citizens, etc. voted and those ballots were contested.

I think 435 house seats are up for vote (all of them) I think about one third of the senate is up for vote. At least, usually there is a third. Let us start praying hard!

Yes all the house seats are up as it is a census year with redistricting. I think it will be interesting.
There are 42 Senate seats up for grabs

Of course there was a lot of crap going on with this election,,,and we have an Acorn office in the Twin Cities,, And to my knowledge Franken has never really resided in Minnesota,,kinda like Hillary with her New York senate seat.
