Really? New jobless claims rose again. So this begs the question, when will this brilliant stimulus plan put forth by *61 and the liberals begin to work? So far it has simply doubled the deficit. tinyurl.com/lu77arThis country is in great peril if the spending doesn't stop. It's time to live within our means. Instead of spending money that doesn't exist why didn't we have a massive cut in taxes on businesses coupled with government fiscal responsibility? Now that would have stimulated the economy. Government doesn't create meaningful jobs, business does. Is that so difficult to understand?

Buck, your stimulus post was done on June 25. Have things improved now? That stimulus should have had a chance to work by now. This is the latest report from the August jobs report. Unemployment Jumps to 9.7% Here are some numbers from the August jobs report: * Non-farm payroll dropped in August by 216,000 jobs. * The number of unemployed persons jumped to 14.9 million[/font], which is the highest level in American history. * The unemployment rate is now 9.7%, which is highest level since August 1983 (26 years). * Since the beginning of the year, we've lost 3.1 million jobs and the unemployment rate has increased by 2.5 percentage points. While these numbers speak for themselves, Vice President Biden wants us to believe the stimulus has "created or saved" senateconservatives.com/index.php?p=post&id=27
