I am going to fix Mrs. Robely homemade pastrami tomorrow so she has sandwiches for work next week. It is really easy. You simply purchase a corned beef at the store then soak it in cold water in the fridge for three or better yet four hours to get the salt out. Change the water every hour. You then dry it and use a good black pepper rub on it and then smoke it at 225 for as long as it takes to get to at least 185 internal. I go higher. Then fridge it and once it is cooled slice it thinly. Give it a try you smokers. It makes a great sandwich with Swiss cheese on it and a nice fresh dill pickle along side.

How about adding saurkraut? Are all of us food contributors over weight? If not, we will be. There is nothing better than good things fixed at home. I do not even like to eat out anymore. There is too much good stuff that is easy to make at home and you can control the quality.

I can't tell you the last time we went out to eat. It might have been for pizza at the Commander of the recommendation of mndapa1.
