I have always been against tax dollars being spent on stadia. I do have to admit, however, I thought it was wonderful that the University of Minnesota christened their new stadium last night and here is why. On all the Twin Cities stations the lead two or three stories were about this. It pushed Onumbnuts speech here down the line. I love it.

A followup on this. Peelosi and the lamestream media have tried to minimized the numbers of people in D.C. for the tea party. I am sure some of you saw photos in the Star Trib yesterday from the Gopher stadium. 50,000 people were packed in. I know you saw many photos from the tea party as well. It doesn't take a national merit scholar to do the comparison. There clearly were patriots as far as the eye could see. There is no question in my mind, even though this certainly is not verifiable, that were well over one million people, people who care. I'll bet that for every one there, there were ten or twenty more who identify with these people and principles.

From 2 sources of people who were there,, the police said it was as large a crowd or maybe even larger than inauguration day. Estimates were said to be no less than 2 million. There were also busloads turned away as they had no more parking area. Whatever the number really was,,, 60-70,000 numbers is a joke.
Amazing that obambi had to get out of town. For that many people to be able to go is incredible,,,I'm thinking there are quite a few senators and members of congress that are already shaking in their boots thinking about next years elections.
