A car dealers' survey is showing that it is a big failure. Surprise, surprise, as I have always said the Federal govt. could screw up a one car funeral. The last I heard Japanese cars were the big sellers in this program. www.cardealerreviews.org/?p=116533

I just saw that in the paper yesterday. Out of the top 10 best sellers I think there was only 2 American made cars and the rest were foreign. What a joke!

I heard that Monday is the last day for this program. I cry when I see cars being ruined for this nonsense program. I hate waste and those "clunkers" look like good starter cars for young people. My first car was a 1938 Olds and I bought it in 1954 when cars were really looking much different. I could always find it in a parking lot because it was about two feet taller than the modern cars. The person who bought it from me probably fixed it up and is showing it off in the antique car parades somewhere in the state. I keep looking for it!
