Students Rebel at Graduation Against the ACLU’s Bullying Tactics "The students at Pace High School were furious with the ACLU hijacking their free speech rights and decided to take a stand at graduation. As soon as Principal Lay asked everyone to be seated at the ceremony, the graduating class remained standing and recited the Lord’s Prayer. The ACLU has not taken any legal action yet but has stated that something should have been done to stop the prayer." www.lc.org/index.cfm?PID=14100&PRID=815Nothing could be done. Student led prayer is legal...EVERYWHERE. As many of you know, I have been an advocate for Liberty Counsel for almost a decade, and when I see students stand up for their faith and what they believe in...it makes me jump for joy. Matt states it best: "Neither students nor teachers shed their constitutional rights at the schoolhouse gate."

I think this is either good parenting, or kids starting to escape the clutches of forced indoctrination.

Whichever it was,,, big round of applause to them. Might have been a carryover from Miss California also. More and more are standing up, praise God for that.

Video here: www.weartv.com/newsroom/top_stories/videos/wear_vid_1890.shtmlACLU attorney Benjamin Stevenson told ABC Channel Three after the event: "Our feeling is that it's regrettable that the students took over the ceremony to impose their religious views on the audience who may not have shared the same religious views. As a member of the ACLU, I disagree. This was the students day. Not a day for the audience. Being offended is their problem, and was not caused by actions of the students, but by those who may or may not agree with the students, whose rights cannot be abridged.
