Something we agree on. How frightening is that?

midwifery is my path and I have babies at home unassisted...as Dale and I have noticed, we ll have more in common than we are led to believe.

The more I read on this blog, the more I want to disappear in the woods somewhere. When I had my baby 32 yrs. ago, I was only afraid she would be mixed up with another child so I would not allow anyone to remove her from my room unless my husband or I went with her. Now that I have read this blog about dna, I think I would opt for home birthing too. At least there is a hospital nearby for emergencies. My brother's step daughter is a mid wife. I think I would go to her and skip the hospital.

hasset, I have women come to me for their general care, too. obviously I cannot do their labs for a pap, but every other bit of womon care, I certainly can attend to. Many people do not trust the medical establishment anymore.

Tasharose, are you some kind of doctor of natural medicine? I am very interested in natural cures. I can't say I wouldn't go to a traditional doctor but I think I would think twice before taking some medicine. I look at all those advertisements on TV and it always sounds like the thing you are trying to cure feels better than the dozens of terrible side effects.
Did you happen to watch the two hour documentary on Farrah Fawcet? After seeing how miserable her last two years were, I have wondered how much of it was caused by the chemotherapy and whatever. When a person has as much cancer in different places like she did, I think it is time to try something else in the natural cures. Even if it would not prolong life, you certainly would feel a heck of a lot better in those last two years of life.
Do you have any books on natural cures that would be of interest to me? I see some advertised on TV and wouldn't bother with them because of who is promoting them. There is that Kevin Trudeau who is nothing but a "you know what for $$$$$" and I don't believe a thing he says. He is what you call a slick haired sales man. I usually just research things on the internet and make my own decisions.
